The technology is called galvanic vestibular stimulation _ essentially, electricity messes with the delicate nerves inside the ear that help maintain balance. It sounds like something out of a sci-fi novel, but it's closer to reality than you would expect. This article looks at the possible military aspects of this technology, as well as the marketability for "Virtual reality" type games. I personally don't like the sound of it at all. To think that there is something out there that could make me do something against my will...it makes me shudder. It would make for an interesting weapon though. ...
I felt a mysterious, irresistible urge to start walking to the right whenever the researcher turned the switch to the right. I was convinced _ mistakenly _ that this was the only way to maintain my balance.
The phenomenon is painless but dramatic. Your feet start to move before you know it.
While it was flying, nonetheless! Luckily, he only punched out the plastic inner shield covering the glass window. Had he been able to punch through the window itself, as well, the story might have focused on injury's sustained by passengers on the flight when it depressurized.
Ryan J. Marchione, 24, shattered the inner plastic shield covering the glass window and disconnected its frame about 90 minutes into the flight, according to an FBI affidavit. The outer window was not damaged and the plane did not depressurize, the airline said. The circumstances of "The Punch" are a little strange...
Marchione was arrested when the plane landed Wednesday at Tampa International Airport. He faces up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted of a charge of damaging or destroying an aircraft while it was operating.
About 90 minutes after the plane departed, Marchione "woke abruptly from his sleep and turned to the passenger seated in 7B ... raised a clenched fist to his shoulder as if he was going to strike the passenger in 7B, then suddenly turned and struck the exterior window," the affidavit said. But what is most interesting about this story, is not what the man did, or even where he was at when he did it. No... the most interesting, strike that, most entertaining part of this whole story is the quote from this idiot's attorney...
"It appears to have come out of nowhere," said Marchione's attorney, Thomas Ostrander. "Perhaps it was some sort of a psychotic episode as a result of drug abuse."How's that for a defense?
The doctor, Randall Smith, who was 50 at the time, was stripped of his license and sent to jail for 60 days last year for charging the state's Oregon Health Plan $5,000 for his 45-minute "treatments" involving the woman.Since I am not a doctor, it is hard for me to say whether or not 60 days in jail and being stripped of my license would be worth a quick piece of tail. However, even though I am not a doctor, I would have to say this guy was a total idiot. He threw away his whole career for a little tube snake boogie. Granted, the horizontal sheet shuffle went on for seven months, but is it worth the loss? I guess when you're playing mattress tag on a regular basis and the "patient" is letting you play doctor while getting a little afternoon delight, a person tends to forget about the repercussions of his actions.
"Dr. Smith's medical treatment included intercourse in which he told plaintiff was needed to help alleviate plaintiff's lower back and lower extremity pain," the former patient said in the lawsuit.
I had to do it. I had to add Word verification to comments. Daily I'm getting 10 or more comments from spammers. I hope that this word verification will eliminate most of it. I'm sure that most of these are done with spam bots, so it should... Sorry about the incovenience, but it had to be done. It get's old having to go through and delete spam from comments every day and I really don't want to eliminate anonymous comments, because not everyone has a Blogger account. If it doesn't work, you'll be hearing about it. :)
Of course, everyone knows about Hurricane Katrina and the damage it has done on the Gulf Coast. Everything that can be said about the handling of the aftermath has already been said, so I won't linger on this subject for very long. I must say though...I'm a little disappointed in the MSM coverage. If you watch the news, almost all of the Hurricane Katrina coverage is centered on New Orleans. The devastation in New Orleans is terrible, but it is not the only town affected by the storm. There were some small towns in Mississippi that were completely destroyed. No building was left standing. They were, for lack of a better phrase, completely wiped off the face of the earth. New Orleans will rise again. They have already begun reopening stores and restaurants. Some residents have been able to return to their homes to begin cleaning and picking up the pieces. These people are the lucky ones...They actually have a home to return to.
Erotic images can turn you blind
Researchers have finally found evidence for what good Catholic boys have known all along – erotic images make you go blind. The effect is temporary and lasts just a moment, but the research has added to road-safety campaigners’ calls to ban sexy billboard-advertising near busy roads, in the hope of preventing accidents.Wow...emotion-induced blindness. I wonder if emotion-induced blindness can be classified as an illness. Maybe it can be used as a legitimate defense in court cases. I'm sorry your honor, I didn't see the red light...I had EIB. You know...Emotion Induced Blindness. You see, I had just finished watching a porno on my portable DVD player, strike that...What I meant to say was, I had just seen a billboard with a sexy advertisement on it and I was unable to see the light turn red, so I ran it and caused that tanker truck to jacknife causing a 368 car pile-up and an explosion the size of Rhode Island. I would like to counter sue the state, the advertising agency who supplied the billboard and the company responsible for the ad that was displayed on the billboard."
The new study by US psychologists found that people shown erotic or gory images frequently fail to process images they see immediately afterwards. And the researchers say some personality types appear to be affected more than others by the phenomenon, known as “emotion-induced blindness”.
My good pal Stag from Yusef's Journal has brought to my attention that this site is now listed as 1 and 2 for the search of teacher dressed whores journal "seven girls" using Google.
